The Why:

As someone who danced and performed when I was younger and continues to dance to this day, I know first-hand the joy and freedom that it can bring and the friendships that can be made.

Now, as a mum of two children who have danced since they were 3 years old, I see the enjoyment they get from being active in the performing arts world.

I am also very aware of the high costs that can come from supporting a dancer, such as dance fees, studio wear, costumes, competition entries, and travel.
 
Dance Donators was born from my desire to help any child have access to performing arts irrespective of their family circumstances as I believe every child should be given a chance to realise their dreams.

The What:

We receive donations of good quality new and second-hand dancewear/costumes, these items are then thoroughly cleaned and sold at discount prices.  

The funds raised from the sale of these items are used to fund terms of dance, competition entries or other costs for a child.

Families can submit an application form via the website to request assistance, each application will then be reviewed by a committee to ensure fairness and the applications will be contacted.
